Fertilizing
- Periodic applications with "slow releasing" products will achieve a thick lawn. They release their nutrients as the grass needs it.
- Fertilizing in the spring, summer and fall will allow the root systems to expand and fill in any bare patches, naturally reducing disease, pests infiltration and weeds.
- It is important to apply fertilizer as your grass is actively growing. Applying nitrogen to a dormant lawn will promote weed growth and simply be a waste
- Remember, fertilizing should help your lawn. When applied, water for a few days after. If fertilizer sits, especially during drought, it may burn your lawn.
